Cisco Linksys E4200 Maximum Performance Dual-Band Wireless-N Router

Pros: It has good range, is easy to set up and performs very well.

Cons: The Cisco Connect desktop application was too basic for my needs. However the web-based interface is great.

Summary: I was very leery to try the E4200 with its hidden antennas after the miserable failure of my first such experience several years ago with the Linksys WRT110 - the latter had no range whatsoever. Frankly, I was not expecting considerable improvement. However, I was wrong. The E4200 really performs well even at a distance of some 75 feet. Its range is much better than the Linksys WRT150N it replaced. Nonetheless, to be safe, I later added a Hawking HWREN1 Range Extender although it really wasn't necessary. I really like the dual-band feature - the web interface was required for its setup. I don't need to take advantage of guest networking so this feature was turned off. It performs very well. Somewhat pricey, but worthwhile.
