"This router is Excellent"5.0 starson by vw8750413
Pros: Gigabyte ethernet. Simultaneous dual band.
Cons: None really, cept it doesn't have USB 3.0. Which isn't really a con because through my research I couldn't even find a router that use USB 3.0 that's gigabyte and dual band.
Summary: A lot of people review this router as having bad signal strength. This isn't the case with mine. With the router running through 2 floors, and several walls. My PS3 and Laptop had full signal strength.. Also seen a lot of reviews saying transfer speeds aren't up to par. So many people don't understand that it's not the router that's the problem. Your devices network adapter is what's limiting you. My dads smart phone can only cap out at 20 mbps, my laptop 40 mbps, my desktop 100 mbps; in an internet speed test. There are several wireless devices in the house, and none of them have a 5ghz wireless adapter in them. Which is this routers strong point.. This router is future proof, not many devices have a 5ghz adapter, Sony and Xbox just dropped "refreshed" systems, only using 2.4ghz channel... :( The router provides IPv6 support, and gigabyte ethernet. All 3 of which are new technologies years from being surpassed. If your router only gets 1 bar of signal strength 1 foot away, using a wireless adapter you got 10 years ago, don't knock the E4200. Upgrade your equipment!! Don't pay attention to people posting bad reviews about signal strength and speeds. If they received a defective unit, they should return it and get another one because this router is fresh.
