"EASY SETUP, POOR RANGE AND CONSTANT DROPOUTS" on February 28, 2004

Pros: After a storm fried my Netgear router my insurance company replaced it with the D-Link614+/ Easy setup. Wireless connection to my laptop running a netgear NIC is excellent with no dropouts.

Cons: Sparse detail in logs re attacks. Poor range compared to Netgear. Constant dropouts on PC using a D-Link DWL-520+ Got this NIC changed but still same problem. This despite the PC being within 5 feet through one wall and showing excellent signal strength.

Pros: Easy Setup and easy to use

Cons: fair range and performance

Summary: I actually bought this at a yearsale for $5 and I think it is worth more than that. It was very easy to set up and use.

Cons: none. Don't listen to the complaining geeks who don't understand networks but feel that they need to comment on the (lack of) ease of use.

"Best router I've ever had" on September 25, 2004

Pros: Ultra reliable, never had any problems with setup or configuration. Range is not as limited as the review suggests, well over 300 ft. through several walls.
