  • "Awesome router High speed connections"
    on by tristram60

Pros Basically everything except for the fact that i didnt realize that n is still not very good unless you get everything up an running ok. easy setup

Cons I still havent been able to get high speeds with wireless n

Summary Cheap router... doesnt drop connection.... my wired internet connection bandwidth is 25mbps and the router can handle about 15 when it comes to wireless bandwidth. File sharing is good because i get about 65 mbps with wireless n. It sucessfully gives my entire 3200 square foot house a strong signal

  • "Not good in the long run."
    on by nater51

Pros Cheap, good in a bind.

Cons gives out after awhile and starts giving connections problems between the router and your device.

Summary I had this router for a bit over 2 years and without any warning it keeps disconnecting from FTP and social media servers, it does not disconnect from the net, just programs with no indication. People keep telling me I am signing in every 5 minutes. I changed routers and the problems stopped immediately.

  • "Worst router I have ever owned!"
    on by micalb22

    Pros Small unit. Not bulky.

    Cons Dropped wireless connections.
Only get HALF the speed when connected through router.

Summary Wireless connections keeps dropping (like others have seen). Called tech support and after 3 calls... it's better. Paying for 18mbs internet speed through my provider. I'm only getting 6-8 when connected through the router. Connected directly to the modem I receive 14 - 15. Called tech support AGAIN and they have no clue what to do.

Finally decided to give up and buy a new router!

  • "has worked well for about a year."
    on by svsummerwind

Pros it was supposed to come free with comcast and offerwire.
they never made good on the rebate.

Cons now dropping internet several times a day

Summary moved the router away from tv. hoping that works.

  • "Good small router."
    on by tea723

Pros Cheap and reliable, easy to set up, does not overheat (hello lynksys!). Easily runs small network (5-7 pc's, 2 tv's, wii, PS3, bluray player in my case).

Cons None. Range is not pro, but not con either, unless you want your neighbors use your connection... If you want greater range take DIR-655.

Summary Just a recommendation for any router:
Spend some time, go into router setup menu and assign specific IP address (using MAC addresses) for every computer/device that often connects to router and disable Computer browser service in Services menu (administrative tools) on all windows computers. It will help with computer to computer (and printer sharing) network connections a lot.
