"very good speed and range, work with different brands"
4.0 starson by tho_x_tranPros: Easy setup, features, range and speed
Cons: Occasionally drops connection during heavy load of video streaming
Summary: Just as any router that connects to a vendor DSL or Cable modem, if you don't do things the right way, setup can be a hassle. I had no problem setting it up with a 2WIRE DSL modem from South Western Bell. This router has all the important features I need: control access (I block my daugher's internet after 11PM :), QoS, Multicast, firewall, port assignment (e.g. Web server, Audio server, FTP server, ...)
I have 3 PCs and one laptop, they all share network mapped drives and I have tons of movies stored in one PC that wired to this router, the rest are all different brand of wireless devices (2 Airlinks, Netgear, DLink). I watched streaming movies from 2 different rooms downstairs, at least 2 walls in between and the picture and sound are perfect beyond my expectation. However, I do see occasional connection drop (i.e. the PowerDVD software just times out).
