"Even Customer Service couldn't make it work"
Pros: Never had a chance to find out!
Cons: Didn't work with my computer, unhelpful customer service
Summary: Bought this router to speed up my system, based on all the positive reviews. But it didn't work with my system, and when I contacted DLink Customer Service, their advice after an hour on the phone, was that maybe I needed to try a different model. They basically admitted that this model would not work with my laptop (a 1 1/2 year old Dell Inspiron 6000 running on Windows XP). Needless to say, I'm planning to return and purchase a different brand.

This router works with my son's 4 year old HP laptop, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, XBox 360, and our 6 year old Dell Desktop. It is a great router for those that have new or old tech.

Yes this makes sense, you have a old computer that you can't get working, so yes blame the router, or maybe possibly it's the lack of your IT skills and you shouldn't be using wireless to begin with. The router didn't work out of my box, not because it was a junk router, because someone setup my network adapter with a IP address but not my wireless...I changed that to autodetect and this router is BLAZZZZZZZING fast.....
People don't nock a router because people who are reviewing it cannot get it to work. These devices need a little tweaking to get working perfect, and when they do they are so fast and reliable it's just scary!!!!!
Great Router, I paid 141 at best buy and best money ever spect. DLINK RULES!!!! -
I had the same problem with the router! TERRIBLE! I will never purchase another D-link product.
