"Very effective wireless router in a difficult, high-interference setting"
Pros: Good range, reliable signal, no dropoffs
Cons: None so far
Summary: Have had DI-624 for 2 mos.(located in basement)on a system w/ 2 wired desktops and wireless to 2 laptops (802.11g only). Can use laptop anywhere in 3000 sq ft house with "excellent - v. good" signal @ 54 Mbps on main floor and "good" signal @ ~27 Mbps on top floor. I happen to also have a 2.4 GHz phone system AND a 100m (Class I) bluetooth dongle on one desktop, all coexisting nicely w/o apparent problems (amazing if you ask me). VERY happy with this product.
Tech support has been decent w/ good help with initial setup & signal loss problems (now gone), but unable to help with errors in browser-based setup program (program had trouble accessing router after using msconfig>startup to remove all drivers for printer problem; prob. disappeared after startup programs reinstalled).

I am very new to this Wireless stuff but wanted to post my finding in this site. First I wanted to say something about my First purchase of a wireless router. I was reading all I could find on which one is better or which one was easier to install and configure. Well after several hours I thought my best choice would be to go with Linksys. Even the store I bought it told me that EVERYBODY buys linksys. So I took their advice and got it. I think it was the wireless router with 801.11g. Well trying to setup the connection was a problem. I could not get it to configure at all and did not get me to the internet. So I gave up and decided to return. I look at the reviews in this site and found that D-link are also dependable and generally good to use. So I bought the D-link model DI-624 and let me tell you. it worked right away. I was surprise on how easy it was to setup. The best thing is that I did not spend 4 hours trying to get it to work. Did not even call tech support at all. So call it luck or whatever..this one seems to be doing exactly what I need. I would recommend this router to anybody looking for a simple and easy setup. By the ways I also bought the Wireless PCMCIA card Air Extreme 108mps too and got a large range coverage at my house. This site was the one that help me with my decision and I am glad I made the right choice this time around.
