"Cellular Routers are here - watch out landline broadband operators"
Pros: Easy to set-up. Accepts any carrier's aircard. Dig the crazy lime green color.
Cons: During the first pwr up cycle it takes a few minutes to connect to the cellular network.
Summary: Overall, the box is pretty good once you get past the first pwr cycle. It is monkey proof to provision via the JAVA GUI interface. It is a plug and play device. Your typical sales person could figure out the device if they can plug in a lamp.
If I had a wish list to improve the device it would be for a USB port and a push button to release the aircards from the chassis.
These type of cellular routers will give the cable modem and DSL operators a run for their money once HSDPA / HSUPA cellular technology covers the entire globe using the GSM standard in the next few years.
The device can be used for remote kiosks in malls, tradeshows, mobile hotspots, remote construction trailers, ATMs, vending machines, etc., etc. The possibilities are endless. Cut the cord and try out a cellular router.
