Summary Very happy. Would recommend to anyone from my mother to a gamer. It's that versatile and FAST.

Pros Easy to set up (10 minutes tops). Great speed. Guest feature is nice. Range is pretty good. HD streaming is silky smooth.

Cons Not having a USB is kind of a bummer.

Summary From out of the box to fully operational home network took about 10 minutes. Granted I had a network setup previously, and know the process pretty well, but still super easy to set up. I do heavy HD streaming, and was having issues with my old Belkin "G" router. I haven't had any grainy, or slow loading videos yet with the E2000. I run a 12mbps cable signal, and the router dibbies it up between the laptops, phones, PS3 and desktop computer nicely. The guest feature is really nice. Just push the button on the router and they have 2 minutes to access the router and get online without typing in any annoying passwords. I could go on and on aobut this router, but I'll stop there. I picked mine up on sale at WalMart for $79. Heck of a deal!

Pros Setting up the router was pretty easy; adding the wireless computers was very easy with the USB flash drive software that I created after setting up the router. You supply the flash drive. Works pretty fast on wired gigabit ethernet and wireless N.

Cons I can't think of anything negative to report about this product. Maybe only the short amount of support (90 days). Come on, you can do better than that, Cisco!

Summary If you have a computer or computers with wireless N and/or wired gigabit ethernet, you should consider this router. Not cheap, but not too expensive, especially for the features it has. Looks pretty nice, too. I previously had a Linksys wireless G router, and it worked OK, but this one is much faster (for obvious reasons). I am by far not a networking expert, and I felt the setup proceedure was easy enough. Documention was good though on disc only. I used the software setup wizard and read the documentation afterward.

Pros 2.4 and 5 GHz capable, which can help keep your G devices out of your N network.

Cons For $90, it should be able to do more than just be a WAP, Gig-E switch, and basic router.

Summary What to like - Wireless N capable, 4 ports of Gigabit Ethernet goodness, a decent design that can sit on a shelf or mount on the wall.

What not to like - You can't run 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz modes at the same time with this one box - to do so, you'd need a secondary access point to add that capability to your network (which means that end users migrating to wireless N would most likely be keeping around their old wireless G router to run in access point mode if the whole point is to run N devices at 5 GHz and G devices at 2.4 GHz). There's no USB port, eSATA port, or media card slot on the back of the router, which means it cannot be used as a file or print server. The internalized antennas, while stylish, limit the range of the device before you'd need to resort to repeaters or secondary access points throughout a premises; this is a common problem with most consumer routers these days, however.

Overall, it's not a bad little entry-level device. However, Linksys would be wise to add dual-band capability and a USB port to the next revision of this device.
