"Easy set-up, bad documentation"4.0 starson by vig8
Pros: Flawless set-up
Easy to configure basic features
Sleek, stylish design
Cons: Users manual is on-line and poorly written
Summary: I would most likely give this unit 5 stars if not for one thing--it defaults to 2.4GHz and gives no instruction on how to set it to 5.0GHz. They have done a great job of making it user friendly for the average consumer, so why would they assume that the average consumer wants to operate it at a lower power setting? To switch to 5.0MHz, you must go into "advanced settings." Of course, if you choose the advanced settings option, you will be met with warning messages that say this option is for experts only and other dialog that will definitely scare the average user away. After reading through the poorly written owners manual on-line with countless FAQ, etc, I could not find any mention of switching between 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. I finally found it on a seperate blog site, complete with step-by-step instructions. It is a realtively easy process in the advanced settings--an option that should be given as a basice set-up function. I now have a powerful signal in a unit that I am happy I purchased.
