    Pros: looks nice

Cons: numerous connection drops requiring a power on/off of the router

Summary: Check out linksys's forums and you'll see all the problems people are having with this router. Appears to be a firmware issue but the connection keeps dropping requiring a power down of the router. Can't believe cnet didnt experience this in their review!

I'm one of those who experiences this problem. Mine didn't start until 6 months after purchase. You can read my review here as well. I had a horrible time with tech support / customer service, and because apparently I ended up with a unit that was on someone's shelf or stock room for a really long time, it was already out of warranty a mere 3 months after I bought it. Having a good time for 2 weeks isn't enough, I'm afraid. I'm off to scan the reviews of the competing routers because I'm done with Linksys.

The router is super hot (I mean temperature wise). I have been observing a low connection speed to the internet and have been complaining to my ISP. It turned out that it was the router. After rebooting it, the connection speed jumps from 1Mb to 10Mb. However, the speed drops again in 24 hours. I have to do a reboot of the router every day... what a pain. BTW, I have the latest firmware already.

Ive had mine running for over two weeks now, without it dropping signal or powering off once... Hopefully it was just a bad batch... If Firmware didn't fix it, I'd try to swap it out at the store. Good luck!

Curious to know if you resolvd this with a firmware upgrade. Interested in buying this product, but your review gave me pause. I need reliable and don't have computer savy folks you can reboot in location. What happened?
