The Bottom Line If you don't need extended range from a router, the Linksys WRT54GX2 is a good choice if you want to take advantage of MIMO technology but can't afford the hefty price. Still, Belkin offers a better performer that costs less. The Belkin N+ Wireless Router is a great performer with excellent range and throughput speed. If its bulky design and lack of 5GHz frequency support don't put you off, the router is worth every penny of its $100 or so price tag. The WRT610N can satisfy both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless clients with its solid performance, great design, ease of use, and its ability to work as a network storage device when coupled with an external hard drive. The Linksys WRT54GX offers impressive performance, but Belkin's Pre-N router delivers more bang for the buck. Though the Netgear WPNT834 RangeMax 240 provides phenomenal throughput at short range, it doesn't deliver on MIMO's promise of fantastic long-range performance.
