"Good, cheap home wireless router" on by kev1006
Pros: Supports every client
Cons: Assigns DHCP addresses out of scope
Summary: I've had the MN-700 for ages and have had no problems with it. I have it in full router mode acting as a firewall and DHCP.
I have 4 wired clients (two connected through a switch) and 5 wireless clients all with no issues. At times, I've had an iPhone, Treo 750, Dell Axim, MacBook, PowerBook, Ubuntu, Fedora, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Xbox 360, a Netgear switch, a network printer, a NetGear print server, and a DirecTV HR-20 connected.
The admin interface always loads like a snap for me and it is not nearly as confusing as Linksys or Netgear routers.
The MSFT routers run Windows CE instead of Linux.
The only problem I've ever had after 3 years, is that the router is supposed to assign DHCP addresses in the range of 192.168.2.30 to .80, but it will assign IPs outside of that range. So far none of my static addresses have been taken over but I need to watch for a fix to this one. -
"Not a single problem. Guess I have one that works?" on by YQT_CANADA
Pros: Excellent range, looks great, never drops a signal.
Cons: Don't have any.
Summary: Looks 100X better than that blue pice of crap everyone else buys, excellent signal, never lost a wi-fi connection. Easy set up, worth every penny.

"Absolutely trouble free" on by joptrs80
Pros: Price, reliability
Cons: Not fancy, but works as intended
Summary: Have owned a MN-700 for over 3 years running 24/7 and never had a single lockup or need to reset. Great value for novices or someone needing a simple router you basically set and forget. I paid $60 for my MN-700 bundled with the Microsoft G wireless laptop card when Microsoft announced they were getting out of the wireless networking business and most retailers were closing them out, so don't pay much for one.

"Only good feature is the wireless range" on by Marki_Marc
Pros: Good range, makes a good access point
Cons: Everything else is poor & this is definitely a build only for windows product
Summary: I never used the MN-700 as a router so I can't comment on its routering features. I need a wireless access point and this router (including the MN-720 card) was the cheapest available. It makes a good access point, has long range and WEP performance is good.
However, all other features are terrible. The admin page is very slow, even with the router idle. The layout is not intuitive. You have to dig through many links to get to the security settings. It lacks many advance settings. The login timeout is a great feature, but there is no option to specify the idle time. With the slow admin interface, I was kicked out before applying changes. The built in access point feature does not work. If you don't run windows, forget about updating the firmware.
All in all, the MN-700 makes a good access point. For those having problem, get a cheap wired router, disable the mn-700 dhcp feature (do not use the built in access point feature) and use the MN-700 as an access point. If it supported wireless bridging, it would be perfect. -
"Very Good Router" on by geggry
Pros: Stylish, Easy setup
Cons: Took two installs to setup
Summary: Very Good, price was lower than the Belkin model I wanted. On the first try, the software did not recognize the router; but on the second, it installed and the setup went thru very easy. No glitches. For the first few days there was slow internet connection, it seemed. But after that, both computers in home worked fine; even with both on and browsing.
