"I love the all in one product, and it has better range then the other two wireless routers I tried." on

Pros: All in one unit. Always on print server. Great wireless range. Love the ability to NAT multiple internal IP's to the one external that I have from the cable company.

Cons: Can't get my office laptop to recognize the print server, and I cannot get good support from Motorola. Great product but poor support.

    "Somewhat satisfied" on

Pros: Being able to use both my pritners on both my desktop and laptop by using the print server and also the port cause I have an additional printer designed for networking through and ethernet connection.

Cons: Not very user-friendly. I had to really do some research on the configurations and setting the port manually to a user Yahoo Voice messenging and we cam. Over priced!!! Searched on the web to find at a better price.

"A versatile consumer device that's not for rookies..." on

Pros: The SBG1000 is a welcome product in a market where every company is trying to get you to buy every extra dongle and accesory possible instead of giving you a complete package (i.e. you buy a $150 router and have to add a $75 pcmcia card and/or $100 access

Cons: The Printer Server should be USB for ease of use. It has been difficult setting up that piece but sharing the printer through Windows works as just fine. Business users should look elsewhere if a networked printer is mandatory.

"The old Motorola never fails!!" on by justy344

Pros: Super easy set up and settings interface. Wonderful wireless range. it hasn't given me any problems in the two years I've had it. The range is so good we can get it right outside of our shop which is a good walk away from the house!!

Cons: USB printing would be nice, rebooting after setting changes can be annoying

Summary: A great product even with its age

"New, Inovative but Obsolete" on by BOBW5BW

Pros: All in one Combo is Great Idea that has been needed!

Cons: WIfi B, Pinter port, No Transmiiter on /off switch

Summary: This is a good Idea gone Bad!

A Wireless Cable Modem Router was a long time in coming but This aint the answer!

    1. It uses wireless B everyone has moved on to G & N!
    2. It has a parallel printer port, don’t you could even find a parallel cable anymore as everyone is using USB!
    3. It has no on and off switch for the wifi Transmitter. If you not using it, turn the damn thing off and make your net and computer safer! Help stop on air (RF) pollution!
That’s why we have A, B, G & N as people won’t turn off wifi transmitters that are not being used or needed!

Looks like Motorola had a good Idea and turn it over to Mr. Father Time to develop the damn thing. Hell this is 2008 Motorola needs to wake up and smell the roses!

That is not going to happen as you can not find, like a lot of other Big companies any intelligent life?
