"Wireless is horrible. Very disappointing." on by per42a
Pros: Since i purchased this as a wireless router i would have to say there's not one pro to speak of.
Cons: This router is a total waist of money for wireless operations. Unless you want to get up, walk to the router, unplug the power, plug it back in multiple times each session I would steer clear of this router.
Summary: I have read posts that suggest this is a systemic problem with netgear. I will never purchase netgear products again. This was a total waist of money.
Do not purchase netgear products. -
"OK for my needs: 5 PCs i a big house." on by knowjim
Pros: Easy setup
Cons: Someties only 2 bars but still works OK. Could it be AT&T's fault?
Summary: Fine value; good service

"Slower than my Qwest Router" on by signaturepest
Pros: Software was easy to install. Cheap.
Cons: Drops the internet
Slow connection speedSummary: Had to call tech support because when I sent something to my wireless printer the internet would shut off. After tech support reconfigured the router the printing was ok, but internet is still slow. Thinking of returning the product and going back to the old Qwest router. I never had a problem with it. So much for trying to get faster.

"Gone through three ATT 2wire and decided to change" on by jjmunera
Pros: Easiest to install. had it up and running in a couple of minutes. 2wirewas always a problem setting up even do they are partnered with ATT.I have 8 wireless working and it does not drop the signal.
Cons: It gets hot.
Summary: ATT 2wire seem to die within 9 months to a year and a half. Decided to try something different and it works fine. Easy to install and so far problem free (six months). The only negative is that it gets hot so my sugestion is do not touch it,LOL.

"Simple setup, hasn't missed a beat on Mac & PC network" on by bwad69
Pros: Took only a couple of minutes to setup, running both OSX and Vista machines off the network without a single hassle. Haven't had a single dropped signal or any problems since it set it up. Great value for money for a 802.11n capable router
Cons: Doesn't support dual band so slows down to 802.11g when the Windows laptop is on the network, doesn't slow the internet speeds down because g is still plenty fast enough for the internet connection, but would be a nice feature.
Summary: Can highly recommend this product. I was a bit nervous when I bought it as I hadn't read anything about it and the model I wanted wasn't in stock at the store. But am very happy I bought this instead. Fast, simple setup, stable.
