"Works fine after firmware upgrade" on by mkasson
Pros: It works! Reasonably configurable. Seems fast to me.
Cons: Port forwarding: appears you can't define a "service" and not keep it on without other services not getting turned on. Config page needs javascript. Needs firmware update. Needs a power switch
Summary: I had been having the widely written about problem with connection dropping. I updated the firmware and - viola! No more probs! Was looking for a new router - one with no conn dropping. I used to plan on losing connection if DL speed got to 400kbps; earlier today I saw 1,200 mbps for a sustained chunk of time with no probs.

"Frustrating experience" on by lisaandjon
Pros: None...it never worked
Cons: All...never got it to work
Summary: Bought so I could hook up VOIP phone..never could get it configured. Help line won't help until registered, which would'nt work either. Said ser# was wrong. So I took it back for a refund and bought another brand.

"RP614v2? more like RIP 614" on
Pros: hmm..very easy to use.. fast speeds.. keeps me warm.. quick setup.
Cons: Ok. This is a piece of cr@p. The router becomes unresponsive sporadically and requires a good unplugging to get it back on track. I guess it's cause I connected more than one computer to it, I’m sure it works perfectly well with only one computer... but t

"Horrible product and customer service" on by loatao
Pros: It's returnable for a refund.
Cons: Can not set up without giving the router internet access. Level 1 customer support insisted that no router can be set up without internet access then hung up on me when I asked to speak with Level 2 support.
Summary: If you are OK with putting an unsecured router on your network with internet access and letting a script you have never seen configure it for you then maybe you would not be unhappy with this router. If you have to call technical support you have my sympathy. The router is being returned unused.

"Great performance in a small package." on by svpilot
Pros: Easy set up, fast data throughput, small footprint and just darn nice looking. I was able to set up our home network pretty quick and connected my daughter's computer with our shared laser printer.
Cons: The manual on the CD is good but should have a quick start written manual.
Summary: I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable product to set up a home network.
