I upgraded to this netgear router from my Trashy D-link Di-524 and its the best thing ive done. it works fine and gives a very fast wirles conection. The Router though dosent have that great of a range, starts to get poor reception when im far in teh backyard or across the street in the front of the house. Overall, it a good router to just share a Brobdrand internet connection to many wirelss computers and wired computers

"Cheap but low performance"

2 stars  | on by lanzino

Pros

Price, Minimal look

Cons

Looses connection frequently, especially on media streaming and P2P, difficult initial setup

Summary

Very basic router. I bought it I think in 2005 and had connection problems from the very beginning. After five years DHCP is no longer working properly and I have to reset the whole thing several times a day.

"Still a decent router in 2010, but terrible for P2P"

2.5 stars  | on by HSuke

Pros

I've had for 3 years now, and it's still working. It's VERY slow for sharing files over the network, but it's good if you're only interested in connecting to the internet, streaming videos, etc.

Cons

I have reboot it every 2-3 days. It's sad to say that I actually live with this.
Supports a ridiculously low number of connections. If you use P2P, it will crash. While this might have been decent 3 years ago, it's no longer acceptable today.
