"Solid router for 2.4ghz, easy setup. 5ghz is horrible."3.5 starson by DesertKoala
Pros: This router replaced a Buffalo Tech wzr-hp-g300nh, which replaced a D-Link DIR-655 a year earlier. I seem to get a new router every year. This router is more stable then both of those routers, especially for VPN clients.
Cons: 5ghz is a joke on this device. If you don't need 5ghz, then get this. To get close to 300Mbps on 2.4ghz, your going to need channel bonding. The web management interface is weak. Email logging sucks without allowing alternate PORTs.
Summary: Highly recommend but I'm still waiting for the industry to put out a strong 5ghz router. For a Mom & Dad router, this is a great device. For those looking for more, you might want to put on DD-WRT as an alternate OS.
