"Says Connected, but No Internet Connection"1.0 starson by muzikween
Pros: NOT A SINGLE THING.
Cons: My laptop says "connected" and "strong signal" but when you connect to the internet, once you flip to the next screen, you get "server not found."
Summary: We live in a very rural area of Colorado outside of Denver in rolling hills. Our only options for internet were satellite (which is horrible but better than this) or this. Verizon's map showed that we were definitely in a 3G area and 4G was just outside of us. However, when I brought this home, it was easy to connect and my brand new laptop says "connected" and shows a full signal strength, but when you open up web browser and go to the first page, it says it cannot find server. Then you might regain a connection, then lose it 30 seconds to a minute later. I think the reliability of this device probably all depends on where you live. There is also nothing to show the battery life left on the device, but keeping it plugged in is not a problem for me. Too bad, I was really hoping this would work. I guess I'll keep paying overpriced fees for 12MB (yes that's correct not GB) of download per month with satellite, because at least it's a reliable connection, even if slow and limited.
