"Very easy to use & super fast. No setup CD required!"
on by ModuleVPros -Easy installation & firmware updates
-Super fast dual band wireless
-Next gen 802.11 AC
-Has a sister device called My Net AC Bridge for access to 802.11AC wireless (unlike several competitors)
-Has a power button!Cons -Cannot configure the router as a bridge (like you can do with the ASUS AC66U). Need to buy the My Net AC Bridge
-Tech support isn't the greatest (many foreign accents)Summary I spent a good couple months researching 802.11AC routers and decided this one was the one for me after seeing how awesome & easy the web UI is. The ASUS would have been my choice if they had offered a cheaper bridge to pair with it. I didn't want to have to buy 2 ASUS routers for $200 each in order to take advantage of 802.11AC. Western Digital is good because they offer the My Net AC bridge for only $130 so I don't need to buy another router.
About a month of ownership and still haven't had to restart this device. Thank you WD!
I've had many problems with Netgear devices and therefore avoided that option and the Linksys got terrible reviews on Newegg so I figured WD was a safe bet. So far, I'm very glad I made the purchase!
