"Love my new Roady but...."
Pros: NO COMMERCIALS!!!, Better music in morning
Cons: bad reception, needs to be hardwired
Summary: I love my new roady. It was free when my husband activated his (MyFi) on Christmas day. Love the music selection with no annoying commercials.
Cons:
I have had to invest a lot of money in this free little gadget. $55.00 for a home kit and $120.00 to get it installed. The wireless FM transmitter sounds horrible. There was always some feed back noise no matter which number I had it set on. This is why I had to get it hardwired in. My husband also had this problem but, his feed back noise was not as much.
I do really enjoy the music and the stations. I hope my money that I have spent on it pays off in the long run.

The built in transmitter can be adjusted, which affects the sound of the radio used. Yes, range is limited...what would you expect for its size? Mine works fine within about 25 feet. With the home kit it's easy to move, so simply move it closer to the receiver/radio used. And great sound results with a direct connection.

$55 for the home kit? Search Amazon.com or ebay. You could have gotten it much cheaper.
$120 for installation? What all had to be done? Perhaps if you wanted it hooked up in your basement that has no windows. But at the most, it could have been done for $55.
And the FM modulator works fine. The reason you're getting static is probably due to interfierence from other electronic equipment. Get a good surger protector that filters your power as well or simply a power conditioner.
