Pros: Sirius Programing better then XM

    Cons: not too many

Summary: If you get the Firmware update, like CNET did not, you can set up recordings on every station, even music ones. Hit one button, to save a song, I have over 140 songs saved from SIRIUS, plus I have hours of talk shows, and my own Mp3s. The size is the best, I have had good luck with battery life. The display is better then any Ipod out there. It has to be the best Sat radio out there today! Controlls on car dock are a little small, but I use the remote in the car.

I've had my S 50 for less then 1 month. It stopped broadcasting yesterday in my car.Placed the reciever in my $100 home kit and same problem.I called sirius support and they tell me the memory must be shot and blamed it on me not turning the unit off before turning off my car.Give me a break...Has anyone else experienced this? Also not happy at all with the quality of sound. At home I play it thru a Bose $3500 system and it sounds horrible.I guess I should have said "Played" as I not have to send it back for warranty work.Very dissappointed at this point.Any input would be greatly appreciated..

Received the s50 for one day. Loaded the Software and everything was fine until I tried to save my MP3's. No Go.
Called Tech support they said maybe I need to uninstall the program and reinstall.
Still same thing.. So I downloaded the program off the SIrius Site. Still nothing
I called support and had them step by step go through the procedure of saving MP3's to a list and dragging it to the S 50.
They thought that at first the MP3 I had was a pirated version until I ripped a song into MP3 from a store bought CD. Still Nothing.
It indicates that it is saving the file but when you disconnect from the computer to check if it saved, the folder is there but with no items listed underneath. The "Item", S50 is going back for return for a second chance. I'l give it the benefit of the doubt. Will keep you posted of my findings. Anyone else have this problem?

Simple: just connect the S50 to your computer and bring up the Sirius Studio software and with the supplied cable it downloads it automatically.

There has been some rough going for the S50 (probably rushed to the marketplace because of Stern and Xmas) but the first firmware took care of many early problems and Sirius has promised more are on the way. I believe Cnet short changed the S50. I would put it in the 8.0 category. Perhaps they will revisit this in a few months when more firmware releases are built in to the S50.
