"Good Quality Scanner for Home"
Pros: Easy to use, fast setup & startup
Cons: A little pricy
Summary: Have had experience with commercial quality scanners at work, but couldn't handle the commercial-style prices for a home one, so I settled on The Canon. I have to say that the quality approaches that of the one at work, which brand new was about $2,000. The LED lights mean fast startup. It's also very quick in capture, even at 600 dpi. Makes a big file but as long as I don't let a lot of them pile up, system is unaffected. Still not as good as a digital photo, but still great. About $169 at Amazon.com back in April 2008.
