Pros: Excellent scan quality, small, fast, quiet

    Cons: Can't scan negatives

Summary: I have been looking for a decent scanner ever since my Acer Prisa 620ST. Unfortunately, during that time I have owned three HP scanners which were all junk. I had almost lost all hope when I read the reviews of the Canon and decided to give it a shot. My faith has been restored. This is a low profile, super quick, ultra quiet scanner for a comparably low price. Setup and installation was a breeze. The included software is highly functional and easy to use, and the scan quality is great. There is virtually no lamp warm up time. The USB 2.0 connection allows for quick image transfer. There is no power switch to flip, no AC adapter to go bad, just 4 buttons and a nifty Z lid that allows for bulkier items. The LED lamp should outlast the scanner mechanism and it also allows for the scanning of reflective surfaces (i.e. CDs) without color distortion. All this for under $80 and it’s an easy choice. Don’t waste your money on higher priced scanners, this one is a winner!
