"Awesome Portable Hi Res Scanner!!!"

Pros: Ultra Compact, quality as good as the higher end scanners. Very portable.

Cons: Speed could be better and if you are using a laptop, will drain your battery faster since it's powered through a single USB cable.
Summary: This is a great personal scanner for anyone scanning documents and regular photos. I use a lot of scanners since I work in graphic design at a few television stations. This scanner lacks some of the high end features like negative and slide scanning, and it's speed can be improved. However, if you are looking for a scanner with a compact desk footprint, under $100 (got mine for $70), and great quality scanner...THAT'S ALSO PORTABLE...Then this scanner is for you.

The Quality?

For text documents, the scan are razor sharp and clean.

For photo Scanning, this thing is great for most magazine print jobs, and almost all photo scanning for personal projects. The colors are strong, and the detail is very crisp.

Final highlights:

I have this scanner hooked up to my portable workstation laptop. This scanner is great for that purpose since it's ultra light and compact, but also that this scanner draws it's power directly from the USB cable. That's right! No need to find a power outlet for the scanner. SO when I'm on the road for a graphic gig, I can scan on the go.

I would highly recommend this scanner.
