Summary: As far as the software goes it works fine. As long as you only want to use the hardware with its included software.
It is NOT a twain compliant device. You can NOT use the hardware with any other software. Which is just plain sad. -

Pros: I was extremely impressed with Cardscan's ability to scan and input unusual business card formats and designs accurately. The review feature for correcting errors saves time and effort.

Pros: Scanner and OCR functions work well. Does what the manufacturer claims are. What more could you ask for.

Pros: ok as a single card scanner.
Cons: You pay for the scanner and software and then they try to get you to pay software upgrades that allow you to continue to use the product. Buy from a vendor that supports their products. It took 30 mins on their support line to be told this.
Summary: The Scanner is adequate as a scanner, but here is the catch, the supplied softweare (CD) and updated software available for free downlaod from the Cardscan site are NOT compatible with Windows 7. In order to use your scanner with Windows 7, you need to PURCHASE a "software upgrade" at $119.00 plus TAX. This is a complete rip off. Of all the applications I've moved from Windows XP and Vist to Windows 7 the ONLY one that does not work is Cardscan. Windows 7 is designed to allow you to run older OS versions also . The majority of software vendors make compatability upgrades to different OS versions for free. YOU ARE BETTER TO USE THE MONEY AND BUY A NEW SCANNER THAN PAY THIS!
