Pros: Fast, scans negatives, good image quality, did I mention fast. I'm not sure why anyone would say this scanner doesn't scan negatives well. I suppose that if you're using a point and shoot and your photos are poorly exposed, that may be a problem, but if y

Pros: This scanner worked find for me and was really great.
Cons: After about 10 months and updting some with some Microsoft patches the Twain and Smart Panel stopped working. Thus I was not able to use the scanner. Epson Tech on-line help responded the next day and continued to do so. Finally they suggested I do a r

"I really liked this scanner till I tried to use the copy center."
Pros: I really liked what this scanner did in scan-to-file mode. Colors are excellent etc. And The scanner is loaded with features. My low score for this scanner is due to the Copy Center feature.
Cons: The copy Center, which I want to use often, is for the birds. Their techie told me to scan to file first then print. That is fine, but I can do that with any scanner. In Copy mode, the printout is always covered with printed pixels giving a gray hue to th

Cons: I have wasted 2 days trying to figure out how to get it to scan 35mm mounted slides without arbitrarily cropping them. Thats what I bought it for, a complete waste of money. Software is very badly designed, non-intuitive, on-line help useless.
