Pros: When you want a quick scan of a 4x6 or smaller item, this is fine. And the price is right - I think I paid $30 CDN for this.
Cons: Low resolution - 300 dpi and no support from HP - you must pay for software that you don't really need as you can scan directly with this scanner into its own drive letter.
