Pros: Good software from HP and third party. I installed it without any problems, people complaining about installations seem to be clueless about everything in life. Very good for 35mm film scanning for the price (I bought my on a sale-rebate for 125 Euros) no
Cons: It is slow but you can choose a lower resolution for the first testings and then scan at max. resolution. PDF scan doesn't seem to generate sharp pdf documents, maybe I haven't learned it well yet.

"Excellent value, easy to use and set up."
Pros: I've had mone for ~1.5 years. Got it when I had Win ME on a Sont VAIO, worked fine. Upgraded to Win XP, re-installed XP version of software from the original CD and it still worked fine. So I'm puzzled that anyone would have problems getting it ot work
Cons: No it's not the fastet available but it is certainly not the most expensive either. The speed may be a factor in a production operation, but it's fine for light home/office duty. The lamp warmup from standby mode takes a little time but the idle time pe
