Sheet feeder next to useless
Pros: It has very fast scanning and easy to use software.
Cons: The sheet feeder fails more often than not through misfeeds and the software crashes, which means I have to close it down and switch off the machine.
Review: The sheet feeder fails (misfeeds) more often than not and only works if I hold the sides of the pages whilst applying gentle pressure to the paper guides. Misfeeds frequently cause the software to return an error, which means I have to switch the machine off and close the software. This is the second machine that I've had - the first was replaced by HP within 30 days. The sceond machine was marginally better for a time but now fails more often than it works.
HP customer service is next to useless.
I am about to scrap this scanner and find something that works. I am extremely disappointed with this machine from HP. I have been a consistent HP customer for about 12 years buying all my PCs, laptops, printers, etc., for both home and office use from HP. I had become used to seeing my HP equipment as real workhorses - very robust and reliable. My latest experience, however, has seriously dented my faith in HP.
