"The biggest purchase mistake ever"
Pros: Now, I can't think of any
Cons: No repair option, noisy
Summary: We have the scanner that we used very lightly for just about 17 month, it start to develop a strip of 1/4" blur on the left side that got larger and now it is 1" wide. Now the "fun" part is Microtek out of warranty policy is exchange for a new one at the price of $700. OUTRAGES!!! That is 80% of the price of a new scanner! There is no repair option available at all, if scanner died, just place it in the garbage.
I dealt with many hardware companies in my life and I can tell you that that one tops them all. If I knew in advance their warranty policy I would not have purchase it even at 1/4 price period.
IF YOU WANT TO TRASH OVER A GRAND IN TOILET, BUY THIS SCANNER.
