"Lots of Beef for a Little Price" on by spectr171
Pros: Very detailed controls over scans that are usually only found in high-end scanners used for major publication work. Gang-scanning availability. Minor color correcting required using default settings
Cons: Scanning is a little slow for what I would expect for USB 2.0.
Summary: I would recommend this scanner for the SOHO user and light publication print shops. Scanning of photographs come out looking like true, digital images. The ability to gang-scan is an added plus for those that do a lot of scanning for light publication work. Even though the actual scanning process is a little slow for a USB 2.0 port, but it's still over and above what I've had in the past. The OCR software that comes with the scanner works very well, too; better than some "professional" applications.

"Great Scanner for the Money!" on
Pros: Everything works perfectly. The ability to scan in super high resolution for under $130 is great! What's to complain about?
Cons: A little slow

"Incredible what a POS this is" on by gearhead99
Pros: Hardware is probably quite good
Cons: You'll be lucky if you ever find out
Summary: To begin with, the first unit was was DOA out of the box. The replacement has never worked properly despite multiple reloads/upgrades/conversations with tech support. They do not have a toll-free number, and you can expect to spend time with them. The hardware might be good, but the software is pathetic. Don't bother.
