"The future is here! Dare I suggest."
Pros: More connected and secure, more efficent and productive
Cons: I will let you know!
Summary: I purchased the Microsoft Windows XP/Professional-W/SP2 utility very recently and waited just about a week before proceeding with a planned upgrade to my Dell Dimension Desk Top/With Microsoft Windows-XP/Home Edition-With SP2/utility.I prepared my computer by cleaning up as much as I knew how, running every anti-spyware application plus anti-virus.I also ran diagnostic tools privy only to my database as to insure to make the rough way smooth.Indeed I made certain that my computer was ready and fully capable to provide the environment necessary in which this critically important upgrade would go very smooth.Iam not at liberty to divulge all but I made certain that all and everything was right for this upgrade. It is important to anyone reading this review that if you wish to proceed with this upgrade that you maintain a consistent idealogy and not try to install a product without the updated ability that the SP2/utility represents.Make certain that the Microsoft Software is Authentic and all information is verifiable. To make it clear,if your OS does'nt have the updated SP2/utility then the upgrade should not as well.Let the Automatic updating take care of those concerns as warranted, however this means do not purchase the upgrade without reading if the package you are purchasing comes with the updated utility. This is about being certain and I believe that is what this requires, this upgrade requires that this be a necessary step to your computing ability. With the advent of the wireless, as well as file encryption, with increasing ability as to NTFS and networking, including access remote this platform provides the very best as to the promise of a stable platform with an abundance of resources that are for the person whose ambitions are of a bussiness nature and who would benefit from the strictly secure ability that is promised in this particular environment. The install for me went very well, the actual time that was required for the install took something near one hour but this if stretched to include the updating that occurs once the installation was complete perhaps lasted more than that.I did not care though how long it took because I was prepared to see this thing through to its rightful place on my Desk Top as my present and only Operating System Windows XP-Professional-It worked very well from start to finish and as well I preferred to properly register the upgrade with Microsoft and that has and as well almost paid in dividends immediately as information was quickly provided through the automatic updating and registration.I was a bit surprised that I was able to really make this work as well it did and that is perhaps why I should let you know that Iam not some computer blue blood.I have to really work to make it work and that is why Iam pleased that this has proved to be a virtually flawless installation. It is a excellent turn of events that has allowed for the knowledge that permitted this update to go so well. This is not to suggest that this upgrade is for everyone indeed I would venture a guess with any inquiry as to the suitability of such a upgrade with a recommendation to check out Deluxe Media Edition as an upgrade before you look to Pro.That is because indeed this is for bussiness purposses and most when considering an upgrade this would be like buying the wrong car,it will work but its a real investment and it will require your time and effort to make it worth the time and effort that made it necessary to begin with.A very good increase for my future needs and greater security as to this platforms overall operating efficiency.
