Mio DigiWalker P550

Cons: Needs reset often (windows) no map updates

Summary: I bought this PDA because some inspection software that I use required a PPC. I only purchased the MIO w/GPS because it was the only one that I could find in town. For me the GPS part of it is just a bonus. The PDA performs well for the software that I need to use. I've started using the GPS to get me to my inspections and I find that entering the route information is less than intuitive but it does work. It seems to be fairly accurate. However, recently it has been bugging me to contact Mio for map updates and Mio has informed me that they do not have in-house updates for it and gave me a web site for a possible update. The web page they suggest does not exist. Not a big problem for me as I didn't buy the device for the GPS system but it could be a problem for others.
