"The best photo printer anyone could ever buy. I saw this printer demonstration and one look at the f"on
Pros Prints professional looking photos straight out of the box. My Sony Mavica F73 with less than 1Megapixel resolution photos looked outstandingly sharp when printed on the DPP EX5. Seeing is believing, get a DEMO and you will love it enought to purchase one
Pros Very good printer at a good price. Prints fast for a home printer with good quality.
Cons It's like the Polaroid instant cameras. Cheap to buy but a little bit expensive to use. Compared to the pro 4x6 pictures you can get at WallMart photo lab for 23c for just 1 hour... Still good to use on the move.
Cons I tried printing 5 mega pixel pictures and they all came out blurry and incredibly saturated. The printer is very limited on the color palette it uses therefore you cannot see too many details on the picture. Returned.
Summary Noway to compare the different between inkjet printer to dye sub printer. It's just like professional done!. Love this printer. You will do too!
Summary I saw this printer in Best Buy and had to try it. I was looking for a dye sub printer and fell in love with the small size. (I pack it with my laptop for trips). The post card paper that I bought is great for trips. I download the images to the laptop, (Doesn’t take smart media, just memory stick, bummer), and print actual post cards for mailing from my hotel room! These prints hold up so well that they look great even after going through the mail service. Everyone I have sent one to swear they are professionally done! I was skeptical form the beginning about this Sony printer. I bought one on e-Bay for $90 and 10 4X6 refill packs for $125. I was waiting for the Olympus version, (prints larger sizes but much more expensive), and I am very happy that I found and bought the Sony. The only features that disappoint me a little are no battery supply, a little noisy, and won’t read smart media. For the price, (Wal-Mart has them right now for $149), I can overlook these and get great prints. I highly recommend getting one, you won’t be disappointed.
