The Sun Blade 2000 workstation offers technical professionals a high-performance, yet affordable, tool for demanding compute-intensive applications. From the highest floating-point performance UltraSPARC III Cu 64-bit architecture to the amazing visualization capabilities of Sun XVR-1000 graphics, the Sun Blade 2000 is on the leading edge of technology. It features a high-performance crossbar-switch system interconnect that provides high-bandwidth data throughput for today and tomorrow's ultra-high-speed processors and graphic subsystems. It also supports up to 146 GB of high-performance internal disks and 8 GB of memory. The Sun Blade 2000 provides both USB and IEEE 1394 interfaces for selected hot-plug external devices. With support for state-of-the-art high-end graphics, multiple monitors, and many of Sun's advanced storage systems, this workstation is truly a powerful, flexible, next-generation desktop. This SunBlade 2000 workstation is equipped with SunPCi IIpro co-processor card. The SunPCi IIpro card enables users to run Microsoft Windows applications on Sun systems at native speeds alongside Solaris Operating Environment applications. It also enables users to share data, peripherals, and network connections between the two operating systems. Best of all, the SunPCi IIpro card leverages Sun's biggest strength: reliable and robust network computing. The card provides its own Ethernet port, while also supporting sharing of each system's Ethernet port for networking flexibility. The SunPCi IIpro co-processor card now features a 733-MHz Intel Celeron processor and as much as 1 GB of dedicated memory for excellent PC application performance. It also has a slim form factor that occupies significantly less space inside the system than early versions of the card.
