Pros crisp screen, great sound, great graphics
Cons analog stick to sensitive, processor just under par
Summary this system is a great buy, deffinatley worth the 100$ i paid for it at fry's electronic's. i have so many games ported by the online comunity including DOOM, duke3D, quake, hexen,an amiga emulator, and also an app called LJP which is a multi platform Emulator which emulates the Nintendo, super nintendo, sega, game boy, sega game gear, wonder swan + more,, this brings over 5000 games from the older generation to your zodiac. the screen is so crisp and clean. a well thought out system
on the bad side its 198 MHZ processor is just under par. if they had it running atleast 250 MHZ it would have been a nice system. the analog stick takes getting used to as well.. but you will get used to it.
the biggest catch about all of this software is the fact that it can all be run on other palm pilots... but the zodiac gives you tha ability to play them comfortably... i tried all of the apps on my zod on a regular palm... it was uncomfortable.
with the unfortunate ending of the zodiac due to their major lack of 3rd pary support for games they crash landed 1.5 years after their launch. but the home developers who create so much freeware for this system is straight up awsome.
Pros Size, shape, durability, screen visibilty, ease of use, 2 expansion slots, Bluetooth
Cons Small internal memory
Summary I bought one about 5 months ago. Granted I'm not a high-up corporate exec, so I can't comment on applicability to all people, but it has been fantastic for what I need: date book, address book, reading e-books on Metro, listening to mp3s, playing the occasional game. Also this is first handheld I ever had, so I can't comment on changes to OS system, but I've had zero problems/difficulties using any aspect of the Zodiac.
Highly recomend this product.
Pros The product itself is a high quality PDA, especially comparing to the recent low qualities of palmOne PDAs. The body is metallic and the whole thing feels very robust. The battery life is also excellent. There are some funny Palm games for this device.
Cons The screen could be sharper and brighter, but it is already good enough. The Tapwave specific game library should be beefed up.
Pros I’ve owned two Sony Clies, the nvr70 and the Peg-TJ37. I’ve had my Zodiac for about nine months now and it is by far the best PDA I’ve ever seen! The screen is huge and beautiful and the MP3 player sounds BETTER than an iPod! There are a limited number
Cons Never needed their support so I can't say anything about it. Would be nice if it had built in Wi-Fi, though you can buy a Wi-Fi card if you absolutely need it. I will admit that other OS5 devices have tens of thousands of games and applications to choo
Pros ITS CHEAP FOR ALL OF THE FEATURES IT HAS. AND THERE ARE A TON OF THEM.
Cons NOT ALOT OF INTERNAL MEMORY. ITS NOT ADVERTISED AT ALL.
