Until the next game in this series comes out, it's the only RPG you'll need.

Pros: Huge game world, easy to learn, beautiful graphics -- a world unto itself.

Cons: Extremely addicting -- can be a massive time drain. Need a decent system to run well.

Review: I have the PC version of this game and am running it on a very nice PC. Every other computer RPG I've played pales in comparison to Oblivion, and for that matter, so do many of the other games from different genres.

Oblivion is it's own living, breathing world, and you'll get sucked right into it. There's so much (too much?) to do in the game, and as it's completely non-linear, there are no "right" or "wrong" paths to follow. You can create a typical fantasy RPG character that cavorts around the landscape completing quests for some noble (or ignoble) cause, or you can simply be a bum who makes his living wandering around the landscape and killing wild animals while enjoying the scenery.

In fact, if the idea of this type of game sounds even remotely interesting to you, I would say just go out and get it. As of this writing, it retails at big-boxes for $30. I also picked up The Shivering Isles expansion (as if my character didn't have enough to do already!) for an additional $20, and it was all money well spent.

If you get easily addicted to games, say goodbye to the rest of your life if you buy Oblivion. On the other hand, if you don't have a life, Oblivion ay be what you're looking for.
