Ultra 60 is Sun's lowest cost multi-processor desktop workstation is ideally suited for modeling and virtual prototyping, animation, rendering, and video effects, geosciences, imaging and visualization, research and development, design and analysis. Ultra 60 workstation's balanced architecture means you can deploy all the processing power, memory, I/O, and graphics you need, with excellent overall performance. Ultra 60 has high memory bandwidth, allowing you to go up to two gigabytes of memory, support two processors and dual graphics UPA-based subsystems, run multiple disk arrays from its dual UltraSCSI buses, and run high speed peripherals on the fastest PCI bus around. Ultra 60 is 100% binary compatible with all Solaris applications, meaning you can run the same applications up or down the Sun product line. And with SunPCi, technical UNIX workstation users can run their MS Windows NT/95 applications on the same system. Ultra 60 allows you to run multiple high-performance graphics subsystems with Creator3D, and Elite3D simultaneously at full speed. This is an ideal system for demanding technical users. This is an upgrade for Sun SPARCstation 4, 5, 10 or 20 to Ultra 60. Customer returns system chassis including CPU board, frame buffer and internal disk.
