While the application is simple to use I couldn't recommend this for securing really sensitive data.
There's no stealth facility, so anyone using your account can see in My Computer that there's a nice vault full of personal data there. Although they can't open the files without your password, there's nothing to stop them deleting the entire vault.
On installing the program you have to set up 3 security questions which allow you to reset the password(s) if you forget them. To me that's a security flaw as this is just the kind of personal info that ID thieves are after/might already have. Since there's no limit on the number of password attempts you can make, I don't see that forgetting a password is a major issue.
My main gripe however is that all the vaults are actually stored in the Documents And Settings folder, well buried in the directory tree, and using up as many megs or gigs as you specified when creating the vault. If like me you want to run your C: drive "Lean and Clean" with only the OS and essentials on it, then this is an annoyance, especially if you deliberately made only a small partition for it. And if the system crashes and you have to reinstall the OS..........
A poorly thought out product for a major like McAfee, and it's not cheap either.
