No way as a non-techie parent to understand how it all works and support is non-existent...8-5 PM, Mon - Friday. Sorry guys, that's when I work and travel. You have to be available Saturday and Sunday for your customers.

Whenever my kid wants to log on, complete and total internet access is denied, and a window appears requiring the Administrator (that's me) to put in the Administrator password - and BINGO! Internet access is flawless. Problem is, I travel and work like many people and cannot be available to log her on to the net several times a day. And she wants to know why I can't give her the password. So Net Nanny it does not work in the background.
More importantly, Net Nanny is not at all intuitive - so there is no way to figure out how to change this unless you contact technical support. Now the fun is, they are only available 8 to 5, Mon - Fri - JUST EXACTLY when I am not around! They need to be available Saturday, Sunday and Holidays for their customers which is when I an dealing with all the computer problems.
But hey - on the other hand, why bother? The airlines, phone companies, internet providers, cable TVs and nearly everyone else hates their customers, so why should Net Nanny be any different?
I uninstalled the product tonight and am just using Norton 360 Add On Parental Control that came with my Norton 360 - seems to be just fine. Not really fancy or robust but so what at this point? No answer from Net Nanny support yet as to whether they will give my money back. But it's a weekend...when they get back on Monday maybe they will answer me. I'll be on a plane leaving home for four days and won't know if it's resolved until next weekend.
