"My new best friend"
4.5 starson by arzynikPros: Same firefox interfeace we all love, great plugin support,
Cons: Minor bugs, search box glitches
Summary: At first I thought it was bulky, and took all the wrong plugins to be built in. But later I ended up liking those plugins much better than I had anticipated. The built in spell check is one of my favorite features now. It allows me to use the same interface to spell check web page entries instead of relying on the built in one from gmail, or what ever other service I am using.
The X buttons on each tab I absolutely hated at first. But now I really like it. I went back to my laptop with the old style of X in the single location and got really confused.
There is however some bugs in it of course. One of the most annoying is the search bar at the top. It queries for common entries as you type so it makes it really easy to find what you want, but about 1/10 times it messes up in the loop and does not search when i hit enter. I have to backspace one character, reenter it, and then press enter again.
Its of no question that FireFox will remain my favorite browser. I have been using Bon Echo since I could get my hands on it and I is just amazing. I have not had a crash yet, though I have had some odd slow occurrences, but far less than the problems from IE6&7. Even if you are one of those 'stake my life on IE' people, Take a look at Bon Echo. You will be surprised.
