"Same great browser, fewer calories"
Pros: Seems faster, still intuitive and easy to use
Cons: Tab issues (see below), high memory requirements (3 tabs open now using 140MB-all narrowband sites)
Summary: Firefox 2 beta is a great browser. You cant expect major improvements from the previous version, but it is still a breeze to use, and full of features.
One thing worth noting- the new tab layout. Gone is the single red X box to clsoe a tab. Now, there is a X box in each tab to close it. This may not be something major for new users, but if your someone like me, you have a habit of closing the wrong tab by subconsciously clicking the far right close box.
All in all, a great browser that should keep IE7 on its toes.Updated
Since I get tons of attachments in my Gmail box, I usually click the "download all" button and get all my images. Using 1.5 Firefox, it opened a new window/tab that I had to manually close, which was fine. In the new FFB2 it opens a new tab, and then closes it after the download is complete. It's a great little feature that addup to an even better experience.

I'm using 1.5.0.4 with 11 TABS OPEN and it's using "only" 70MB so can I expect version 2 to use more RAM?

Ok.. Your title is "Same great browser, fewer calories" and yet, you state in the CON section "...high memory requirements (3 tabs open now using 140MB-all narrowband sites)"
So um.. Which is it? Is FF2 lighter and more nimble (fewer calories) or a bloated hog (high memory requirements)??
