"Burned and learned"

Summary: I placed an order on 1/15 and chose standard delivery as the site states clearly that standard shipping is 3 to 5 business days. When 6 business days had passed, I inquired as to the status of my order. I received a canned reply that stated I would receive my order "within 10 business days." This makes a huge difference in my decision to order from any company or the method of shipping I choose. If it is advertised and stated, I assume it to be true and trust that the company I am ordering from is accurately representing itself, its policies and products. I was originally going to order from Shutterfly, but went with Snapfish because it is a name I am more familiar with. The standard shipping statement on the site is blatantly untrue. Had it said "up to ten business days" I would have chosen another method of delivery. But it doesn't and now I've paid for something I don't have in the time it was promised. AND 10 "business days" business days later, have still not received.
To add insult to injury, I sent a reply to Snapfish stating the above inaccuracies and my frustration on 1/25/07 and received no response. So, as well as promising inaccurate delivery times, customer service, in my experience has been unhelpful and non-responsive. This is my first order and will be my last.
