"Does exactly what it says, and does it well." on by IrishApe
Pros: Protects your anonymity; works around filters
Cons: SOMEwhat slow, but that's a reasonable trade
Summary: This is an amazing little program, and I can't say enough about it. I HATE "SmartFilter"....it's a lazy approach to keeping corporate computers safe, and it's far to restrictive. This gets around the filters and blocks, and does well in doing so.
Oh...you CAN import your bookmarks from Firefox...it's a few steps long, but they are simple steps.
Simply find the file "bookmarks" in your Firefox folder (be sure it's the one listed under your profile, not the "default" folder one), copy it and paste it into the "data" folder in the TorPark folder, where it's own "bookmarks" file is. It'll ask if you want to replace it, say yes, and when you fire up TorPark, all of your bookmarks, including from the bookmark toolbar, are now listed under "Bookmarks". -
"Indeed slow, but it works" on by anythingbutmine0
Pros: Hides your IP
Cons: Indeed, quite slow
Summary: Although I'm not sure why cnet believes it runs any slower from a USB drive. Sure, the initial load time is lower due to USB bandwidth restrictions, but Torpark, like any other app, is loaded into RAM when it is launched. Browsing after that is really no faster or slower than running it from the hard drive.
