"Review Seems Biased"
Pros: Lost Cost; Offers Standard ESC (Electronic Stability Control)
Cons: Reliability Unknown; Handling Needs Improvement
Summary: I think the review score for this car is grossly under what it should be. It's true that the Sonata doesn't integrate its features as well it should, but honestly, it's priced thousands of dollars cheaper than its competitors, making it a bargain at any trim. There's a reason why cars are priced the way they are and the review seems too harsh in pointing out the new Sonata's weaknesses, instead of pointing out the improvements it has made over the previous generation. The review also seems to be more focused on the "tech" that the car offers and seems to factor other fundamentals as a minor part of the score. Come on CNET, I've been reading your reviews faithfully for many years and this is the first time that the review score has truly disappointed me.

OK, where is your review of the 2006 model?
The ALL NEW 2006 (to be replaced very soon by the 2007) wins all comparison tests with
anything else in its class. The Accord and Camary don't even come close and that's not my opinion -
This review is so poorly written, inaccurate and overtly biased, I seriously question CNet's commitment to covering the automotive sector. The reviewer has such an obnoxious attitude; you can tell his objective was to diss the 2006 Hyundai Sonata -- which is a great car -- because it's not filled with the latest (read: unnecessary) gadgets. Jerk.

I agree with KrispyKreme50's assessment of the CNET review. Reading the review, I do not see how the 5.3 rating is justified based on the whole of his comments. Though I do not own the Sonata, I believe Hyundai has done an excellent job of redesigning the car and is offering quite an enticement to those who may be looking at a Camry or Accord.
