This is a nice car. I really wonder what kind of car at what price does impess you. I have never read such a negative opinion on a VW. Its fit and finish is excellent, the plastics are well done and the car is roomy and attractive. Are we lookin at the same car!?*^!W@*(

Give it a year or two, but you'll see the true colors of the Jetta. They're super unreliable...I should know, I use to own a 2000 GLS that was great for the first two years. It went totally down hill after that requiring 25 trips to the dealer over the next three plus years. Don't get me started with the dealer network...most unprofressional people I've ever dealt with...

All I can say to all of you new Jetta owners is good luck. -
I had never had any problems with the reviews that you have wrtitten for electronics. But your reviews for automobiles have been poor. I drove the 2006 jetta last week it has the best interior fit and finish in its class by far. The radio controls were easy to use I for one like the knobs for balace treble and mid as they are easy to find while driving by touch alone. My one major problem is with the speakers in the front doors they sound like sub woofers and are overly bass heavy even when turned all the way down. I was listning to Hip-hop on a local radio station and the bass was so distorted that it was almost not worth listning to. I informed the salesperson who belived that the front speakers may have been blown.
