"Best Sports sedan I ever owned (previous M3 owner)"
Pros: Handling, Quattro, Comfort, Acceleration of the v8
Cons: Gas mileage, a little heavy
Summary: I have owned my 2004 S4 for 2.5 years and it keeps getting better. It has some of the best sounds coming out of the engine bay this side of ferrari's price tag. It's also quiet and refined. Downshifts to 2nd gear are a rush. Torque of the v8 feels good above 1800 rpm. I was going to buy another M3 before I drove this beauty. The M3 was nice, but didn't have the quick steering and refinement of this car. I run into an M3 every 10 minutes where I live and an S4 once every other day(more rare).
On the negative side, it does feel a little heavy (it weighs about 300 lbs more than the m3) but it does a great job of hiding its weight. Considering the advantages of all wheel drive, it's well worth the weight, especially if you live in a wet climate.
Also, the S4 is quiet when it needs to be. No rattles , yet. Very comfortable!
Gets about 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.
I know this will tick off some M3 people(which I am one of) but go back to your car's page and review it there, not here. It just makes us look bad.
