The Bottom Line With plenty of standard onboard tech, a comfortable interior, and a premium V-8 under the hood, the 2006 Buick Lucerne CXS lives at the top end of the midrange sedan market. Unfortunately, its price tag suggests something more impressive. As a high-performance, luxury sedan, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V sets a benchmark. It's blisteringly fast and handles extraordinarily well, and offers an excellent set of cabin gadgets. The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO combines an impressively fast, cutting-edge engine with cabin tech that is still ahead of the competition--even after appearing in Ford cars for a year already. The 2008 Buick Enclave is a little too bulky for our tastes, and we weren't terribly impressed with the driving experience. But the navigation and entertainment module is worth the price of the option. The new suite of cabin tech in the 2010 Lexus RX 350 catches this luxury SUV up with current car tech leaders, but the power train, while practical, doesn't take advantage of the latest efficiency technologies.
