"Absolutely fantastic car! Nearly perfect. Competes with and beats much more expensive cars."
Pros: POWER!!!, performance, handling lots of electronics, very safe car, reliable
Cons: some quirks in the nav system, mediocre Pirelli tires from factory. Ride may be a little too stiff for some traditional luxury car buyers.
Summary: I have owned a 2006 Cadillac STS-V for a year now, and I can tell you that bar none, this is the best car I have ever owned. You will have to spend a LOT more money to get a car that bests the STS-V. Definitely the king of all American cars being produced today.
The STS-V manages to blend all out blistering performance and handling, with very civil, comfortable, and luxurious road manners. It is very easy to drive around town, yet will scream from 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds (yes, folks, it really will do that). It also carves up curvy roads with ease. It has been best described as an iron fist in a velvet glove.
Inside, the seats are very comfortable and supportive, and the build quality is top notch. Nearly all surfaces are real leather, including the dash and door panels. The STS-V (unlike the regular STS) comes with suede inserts into the seats and door panels which adds a touch of class. The interior is available in light gray, black and a stunning two tone tango red and black.
The car is very classy, but with a definite agressive sporting edge. It really has a presence on the road.
If you are looking for high performance, but don't want to give up sheer luxury, look no further than the STS-V.
